I am both CMI and ILM qualified in coaching, but what is coaching?
Coaching is the therapeutic relationship between a client and practitioner to facilitate real and lasting change in one or more area of the clients life. Using tools to clarify the goal, enhance problem solving skills to empower the client to reach their desired potential by providing motivational support.
Using the skills and techniques from various psychologically based disciplines, I can systematically apply behavioural science based principals and techniques to facilitate change that would otherwise remain elusive, and the client stuck in "wanting".
My clients all report significant knock on benefits to their coaching experience with me, most frequently with their close relationships, even when relationships are not part of their goal setting aim in the first place.
You see, we are all bidden with a set of values and beliefs about ourselves and our environment, and they are not all helpful to our personal development. Indeed, for example, many of us have a hidden sense of being unworthy or undeserving of the good things we wish for, and it is surprising to most people to discover how immensely powerful the effect of these unconscious beliefs are in our lives.
By shining a light into the dark corners of our unconscious minds, by naming and understanding what and why we feel and think and act as we do, we are able to reframe or totally rewrite the rule book, and then with ease, reach our goals and live our desires.
